Ka$h Akbar is a 21 year old New Orleans native wise far beyond his years. The uber talented artist was born Jordan Batiste, adopted his stage name Ka$h in part from his observation of how money influences people, and Akbar from its' middle eastern definition as great. Ka$h drew spiritual inspiration from Mughal Emperor of India, known as Akbar the Great, who conquered most of India because of religious tolerance.
Ka$h has consistently put in work both on and off stage, working tirelessly on his music, and in on occasion in his community. Performing with the likes of Rakim, Stalley, Lupe fiasco, and Mickey Factz to name a few, Ka$h has blazed some of Louisiana's most prestigious festival stages including Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Satchmo Fest , 2-Cent Festival and several more.
